Mountain Castles Soil and Water Conservation District is currently accepting applications for the 2015 Harold P. Entsminger Honorary Scholarship.  This $1,000 scholarship is presented annually to a graduating senior from Lord Botetourt H.S. and to a graduating senior from James River H.S.  The $1,000 George Todd Memorial Scholarship is available to a graduating senior from Craig County High School.

These scholarships will be awarded to students with a background in agriculture, conservation, forestry or environmental sciences and/or to a student pursuing an education in one of these fields or in a related field of study.

Preference will be given to students attending Virginia universities who have high academic standards and extracurricular activities in areas related to agriculture and/or natural resource conservation.

2015 scholarship applications should be submitted to Mountain Castles SWCD by March 6, 2015.  The winning applicant will be recognized at the spring academic awards ceremony at his or her high school.  Applications are available here.
