Invitation to Bid: annual dam maintenance

Mountain Castles Soil and Water Conservation District (MCSWCD) will be accepting bids until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015, for the annual brush hogging/mowing and routine maintenance of four flood control dams located in the upper Johns Creek valley in Craig County, Virginia. All work is to be completed during the month of July of each year beginning in July, 2015. The successful bidder will enter into a contract with a base term of three years (2015, 2016, and 2017) and will include a performance-based contract extension clause for two additional years (2016 and 2017). MCSWCD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT AT THE END OF EACH PERFORMANCE YEAR. ALL BIDDERS MUST SUBMIT CURRENT CERTIFICATION OF LIABILTY AND WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR A BID TO BE CONSIDERED. ALL BIDDERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A PRE-BID SITE VISIT TO ALL FOUR DAMS BEGINNING AT 8:00 A.M. ON FRIDAY, APRIL 25, 2015, LEAVING FROM THE CRAIG COUNTY COURTHOUSE ON MAIN STREET IN NEW CASTLE, VIRGINIA.
