College scholarships from Mountain Castles SWCD and VASWCD
A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified graduating senior from each district high school:
- Craig County HS (George Todd Memorial Scholarship)
- Lord Botetourt HS (John & Hallie Seibel Memorial Scholarship)
- James River HS (Harold Entsminger Honorary Scholarship)
One applicant will also be submitted for consideration to the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts state award. (Note: college freshmen can also apply for the VASWCD scholarship).

Scholarship applications should be submitted to Mountain Castles SWCD, 36 Executive Circle, Suite 1, Roanoke, VA 24012 by April 5, 2024. Applications will also be accepted via email. Send applications and supporting documents to Tim Miller at tim.miller@mountaincastles.org.
The winning award applicant will be recognized at the spring academic awards ceremony at his or her high school. A check will be issued to the selected college or university on behalf of the student. Questions may be directed to Tim Miller at tim.miller@mountaincastles.org.
